HOW I DID IT.
The following is 4 articles of my own research that I put into practice as a total Health reclaiming plan. I suffered
from many ailments that just went away after about a year of practicing what I have condenced into these 4 articles.
#1. Getting Started.
We have to start where we are...no way around that. When I started I was still on a walker,
recovering from 3 back surgery's and all I could do was sit in a chair and go through the motions with no weight at all. So....I am just going to start
with some information and simple suggestions. Let's talk about water. It is possible to drink too much water and it will flush all the electrolytes out of
your body and drain your strength, and health professionals would have you drinking at least a gallon a day!! Think logically…..when do animals drink? When
they are thirsty of course! NOT all day long! And they do not suffer dehydration! Yet we are programmed to believe that by the time we are thirsty we are
already dehydrated! Not true….but it is time to drink some water. If you sweat a lot then you need more water! Make sense? If you have good pure well water
that is good, it is probably full of minerals. But if you have city water like I do the chlorine and or fluoride in it is very destructive to the body. I have
even stopped using toothpaste with fluoride in it! If you have a fridge that dispenses water and it has a filter on it, you are probably ok, if you make sure
the filter is changed regularly. A filter at the kitchen faucet will also be fine. I read some articles about water and health and one said that
"steam" distilled water would most easily get into your body cells and flush out the toxins. This is what I do, you can buy it by the gallon at the
grocery store for about .89 cents a gallon. I only drink about a half a gallon of water a day…..but when I sweat a lot….like from a good workout or being in
the hot sun all day working in the yard….then I might drink a whole gallon.) If your body becomes dehydrated it will not turn loose of fat. Remember.....a big
part of our journey back to health is getting the toxins out of our body, and learning how not to keep putting them back in.
FOOD: The best possible choices for food is to go completely organic, fresh whole foods the way GOD made them instead of the way man has processed them. I will
explain this in more detail, but let me first say that I cannot afford to buy everything organic, so instead of always making the "best" choices I
have to settle for the "better" choices, I just stay away from the "bad" choices.......I avoid them like the plaque!! And let me just
insert this.....I enjoy the food I eat, ok, if I didn't I could not stay on this. And remember, this is NOT a diet, it is a lifestyle change, and you will
probably not do it exactly like I do, different things work for different people. All I am attempting to do here is give you some guidelines to go by. You are
the one who has to make the ultimate choices, I would never try to dictate that to you. Ok....so what do I avoid like the plaque? Sugar!!!! White bread and
white flower!!!! Processed foods like what comes in a box or a can!!!! Note: There are a few exceptions and I will get into that later. But let me talk about
processed food for a minuet. The food on the shelves at the grocery store comes from big companies that are in business to make MONEY!! They do not care about
your health!!! They process all the life out of the food and make it so it has a very long shelf life so it does not spoil so they don't lose any money!!!
Your health is not their concern!! As a rule of thumb, the outside isles of the grocery store have the best choices. The fruits and veggies, lol. But don't
forget to include a good protein source with every meal. Don't get overwhelmed here, this is just a learning process, give yourself time to take it all in,
ok?
Fruits and veggies: Most farms these days are owned by big corporations and all they care about is making money. GOD said to let the land lay idle every
seventh year so it could replenish itself. Well these big corporations don't do that, and our farmlands are greatly depleted of the nutrients needed to
grow good nutrient rich foods. Every vegetable should have approx. 110 different nutrients in it, but when the big corporations fertilize the soil......they
only put about three of these back in the soil, one to make it look like it should look, one to make it smell like it should smell, and one to make it taste
like it should taste. Shocking isn't it?? And the fertilizer they use is not natural. It is full of pesticides. I remember when I was a kid what it smelled
like when farmers would fertilize their fields, lol, it smelled like......well.....you know what, lol. Today, as I ride my motorcycle around the countryside, I
smell the fertilizer and it definitely does not smell like good old fashioned fertilizer, it has a terrible chemical smell. But these fresh foods are still
better choices than processed canned and boxed foods. So, for an insurance policy, what I suggest is a good multi-vitamin. In my research I found that liquid
vitamins are the best. I would think our goal would be to do these things at the lowest cost possible, but if you can afford the best then get the best. This
is something I do not scrimp on. I use a product from GNC called "MEGA MEN". It is a powder that I mix in water and drink.....making it highly
absorbable in the body. They also have a "MEGA WOMEN" I think. It costs me about $40 a month. I can really tell the difference when I don't take
it. There are probably many good choices out there, you can do your own research. I will say that just a multi vitamin pill is better than nothing, but be
careful, some of them contain lead. Learn to read labels. And the veggies still do have fiber in them which is essential for helping to have a clean colon. I
will go into that later.
Meat: This is your protein source and you need to include it with every meal. Again, the big corporations have defiled this also, you just need to know this.
Beef, pork, and chicken are largely fed chemically and are full of growth hormones and anti-biotics. If you can get "free range" meat, where the
animals graze on grass and thier natural diet with no growth hormones or anti-biotics, that is the best way to go. Many grocery stores have this available now
and the demand for it is growing. But of course it is expensive! My way around this is to only eat fish. This is one of the exceptions I was talking about. I
hate to cook, lol, so I buy wild Alaskan salmon with bone and skin, in cans. Also sardines and tuna, all packed in water with no chemicals added. Here is where
you need to read the labels. One of the other things I avoid like the plaque is anything fried!! I like the canned fish just raw. You can put red pepper on it
or black pepper or any number of other spices to suit your taste. Another thing I go the extra money on is free range organic eggs. They are an excellent
protein source. Going back to the fish for a minute, fish has all the good omega stuff in proper balance, and fish fat is good fat. If you do not eat some fat
your body will not turn loose of the fat you want to lose. Just think good fats......not bad fats. Fish and eggs are both a good source of good fats. Free
range organic eggs and good fish, (NOT FARM RAISED FISH). That is why my favorite is wild Alaskan salmon, even though it is canned. All shellfish is very good
also, contrary to what a lot of people think. Unless you have an allergy to it. Another exception I make is this, I found canned organic spinach and canned
organic black beans. Both are packed in water and have NO preservatives in them. The spinach has almost no calories and is a good bulk food to prevent hunger.
I also eat a lot of berries....strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and seedless grapes. A good supplemental source of protein is
"WHEY" protein powder. I don't go for the expensive GNC stuff here, lol, GNC whey protein is around $60 a month, I get it at Wall mart for $13 to
$18 a month. This will all come together and make sense ........I promise, lol. You will soon learn your own body and sort of know what you need, but give
yourself time and don't get overwhelmed, ok? Just think of all the research you don't have to do because I have already done it, lol. But of course I
encourage you to do all the research you want to. Now let me put together a typical day of how I put this all together, it will make more sense that way I
think, lol. Most professionals recommend 5 small meals a day about 3 hours apart. This keeps your blood sugar levels more constant so you don't have highs
and sinking spells. This is great for diabetics too. I just cant eat that many meals a day so I do a 4 meal a day plan, but 3 big meals a day is not the way to
go. Some professionals even promote 6 meals a day, but you have to find what works best for you. Just learn to plan ahead so you stick with what you want
yourself to have. Here is a typical day for me.
Get up.......drink my vitamin mix.
Drink two cups black coffee for about an hour waking up. Coffee actually has great antioxidants in it. (I usually watch whatever workout program is on TV to
help keep it all in my thinking, but I do not buy into any of the stuff for sale, I do however get ideas how to change up my workouts sometimes)
7:30 am: Breakfast, 4 whole organic eggs mixed with a whole can of organic spinach......or....4 whole organic eggs mixed with half a can of organic black
beans.......or........4 whole organic eggs on four slices of multigrain bread, (read the labels on the bread and make sure it has no bleached or enriched flour
in it), also whole wheat is good, (same thing about reading the label), Try not to use butter, but if you must, then choose something like smart balance. Real
butter is actually better for you than margarine.
9:00 am Work out for an hour. or at most an hour and a half. (NOTE: you may not be able to start there, I couldn't)
10:30 am: Post workout meal. This is the treat of the day, lol. After a hard workout you need to feed your muscles right away. I use a blender. I put in 1/2
pint of Whole organic milk, two scoops of whey protein powder, and about 6 oz. lowfat vanilla yogurt, (the protein powder is also vanilla), and a little over a
fist size portion of frozen berries (pre prepared for the whole week), this is a very tasty and very satisfying smoothie.
2:30 A peanut butter (organic or smart balance), and banana sandwich on whole wheat or multi grain bread. Or, Small can of salmon on whole wheat or multigrain
bread, (no mayonnaise!) lol, but spice it up with pepper or something, I love it. (Just discovered a recipe I like that cuts out the bread. Drain a can of
Salmon and mash it up with a fork. Put in 4 to eight organic free range eggs. Mix it up well and cook just enough till it is barely dry. This makes two meals
for me, it might make three meals for you.)…(another one I came up with is half a can of organic spinach and three or four eggs scrambled together. This also
cuts out the bread.) Unless you take the time to bake your own bread fresh and know the ingredients are all natural with NO chemicals of any kind, then it is
better to cut back on the bread as much as possible, even when it is labeled "whole grain".
6:00 pm basically same as breakfast, usually the 4 egg sandwich.
There are many creative things you can do with good food choices, this is only one example. Just remember to have a good protein source with every meal.
Don't starve yourself, that does not work, if your body goes into starvation mode you will not lose any weight, and as hard as it is to believe, if you
deprive your body of fat...you will not lose fat! Just remember that it has to be the good fats like in fish and eggs. Also I highly recommend taking fish oil
capsules everyday. I know this is long and a lot of information so I will stop here. I promise if you are serious about this it will soon become second
nature...just automatic. Love, Lion

Hi there. I have been distracted with a capital D. I finally found my 'dream house' to buy, but now the tough part of trying to make it come together. Today is my son's 8th birthday. I am taking cupcakes up to this class later and this evening we will take him out to eat at Steak and Shake. He loves it there because they give kids paper cars to assemble. LOL. It is sunny and warm here - about 70 degrees. Perfect weather.
What is new with you??
